YOUNG ADULTS

(18+ years)

Managing asthma on your own for the first time may be overwhelming for some. Help equip your loved one with
confidence in managing their own DUPIXENT care with these helpful tips and resources.

PREPARING FOR A LIFE OF INDEPENDENCE

As your loved one matures, they may seek a more active role in managing their condition.
Here are a few pieces of advice from real caregivers:

Encourage your loved one to keep a journal of flare-ups and symptoms
so they can discuss any changes with their doctor.

Encourage your loved one to take an active role in their care and ask
questions during appointments.

Help your loved one create a care plan for when they are away from
home, including injection reminders, receiving and storing DUPIXENT
shipments, and administering injections.

DUPIXENT MyWay Nurse Educators can provide you with supplemental injection
training in person, virtually, or by phone. This training can be coordinated through your
DUPIXENT Case Manager by calling 1-844-DUPIXENT (1-844-387-4936) Option 1.
Please note that your first injection training will need to come from your doctor’s office.

THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN FINDING A NEW SPECIALIST

Whether due to a new living location or personal preference, young adults may have reason to
find a new asthma specialist. Here are some useful things to keep in mind:

  • Ask their current provider for a medical summary. Remember, your doctor is
always the best source of information.
  • Check in with them to ensure that they feel their new provider is a good fit.
  • Review their insurance coverage. DUPIXENT MyWay can help with this.
    1-844-DUPIXENT (1-844-387-4936) Option 1 Monday–Friday, 8 am–9 pm ET.
  • Remind them that establishing a treatment routine is an important part of
    staying on track with treatment.
