TIPS FOR STAYING ON COURSE

Find suggestions below to help you as you navigate your treatment journey.

Staying On Track And Remembering Your “Why”

Help Yourself Stay On Track With Your Treatment

Ask yourself these questions:

Who are the people I can reach out to if I need a little extra support?

(Example: Is there a family member or good friend who can sit with you while you’re giving yourself or receiving an injection? Don’t forget you can also contact the DUPIXENT MyWay Support Team at 1-844-DUPIXENT (1-844-387-4936) for support)

What could motivate me to stay on track with treatment?

(Example: Can you set a date on your calendar to reward yourself after you’ve given yourself or received a second or third dose?)

Why did I start treatment in the first place?

(Example: Think back to the day you and your healthcare provider made the decision to try DUPIXENT. What treatment goals were you hoping to work toward?)

Keep Track Of The Details

While many people with eczema are impacted by symptoms like itching and rash, the appearance of eczema can vary on different skin.

By keeping track of your symptoms as you continue with DUPIXENT, you can have a better understanding of your own progress and keep your healthcare provider informed of the details. Consider taking photos or writing down any changes you notice so you can have open, honest conversations at your appointments.

Tracking Your Progress

Compared with other people’s symptoms, your eczema symptoms may vary, and so may your results with DUPIXENT.

It may take time to see results, and the changes you see and feel with treatment might be hard to notice.

If you are seeing changes, remember that moderate-to-severe eczema is a chronic disease with no known cure. It’s possible that your symptoms could return if you stop taking DUPIXENT.

In order to see the differences in your own symptoms over time, tracking your progress might help.

Make a point to check how your skin looks. What kinds of changes are you experiencing?

Try taking photographs of your skin and comparing them as time goes on

Notice the symptoms of eczema that you can feel, like itching. Have you experienced a change in your itchiness?

Make Your Routine Work With Time, Practice, and Communication

When you or your child were first prescribed DUPIXENT, your healthcare provider showed you how to properly administer DUPIXENT. But even if you still feel a little nervous about using an injection such as DUPIXENT, you may find it gets easier with time and practice.

Let your healthcare provider know if you ever have questions about self-injection or administering the injection to your child. Do not try to prepare and inject DUPIXENT until you or your caregiver have been trained by your healthcare provider. In children 12 years of age and older, it’s recommended DUPIXENT be administered by or under supervision of an adult. In children 6 months to less than 12 years of age, DUPIXENT should be given by a caregiver.

You Can Be Proud of Your Commitment to Ongoing Treatment

Support Along the Way

Show Yourself Kindness to Overcome Challenges

We tend to be more critical of ourselves than someone else going through the same experience. But acknowledging your challenges and feelings without judgment can promote self-acceptance, allowing you to balance your thoughts and emotions.
